Edgar Beginyan enters the tile and natural stone industry in Los Angeles, working hands-on with contractors and learning every facet of the trade.
Growing up in Los Angeles, Edgar was surrounded by design and architecture. But it was the raw, untouched beauty of natural stone that captivated him. He spent his early years working alongside contractors, learning the craft from the ground up — understanding not just how materials look, but how they feel, age, and transform a space over decades.
His approach was different from the start. While others relied on catalogs and distributors, Edgar traveled. He visited quarries in the mountains of Carrara, factories in Valencia, workshops in Istanbul, and hardwood mills deep in the forests of Brazil. He built personal relationships with artisans and producers, selecting every material by hand.
“I don’t buy from a screen,” Edgar says. “I need to touch it, see how it catches the light, understand where it came from. Every stone has a story — my job is to bring that story to Los Angeles.”
Over three decades, Edgar built one of Southern California’s largest selections of tile, natural stone, and hardwood. His showroom became a destination for designers, architects, and homeowners who demanded something beyond the ordinary. With over 25,000 square feet of curated displays and a 10,000 sq ft slab warehouse, the space offered an experience no catalog could match.

In 2024, Edgar opened a new chapter. Beginyan’s World represents everything he’s learned — a reimagined showroom with expanded collections, exclusive partnerships with factories across Europe and Asia, and the same personal, hands-on approach that defined his career from day one.
“This isn’t just a showroom. It’s a world of possibilities — every tile, every slab, every plank chosen because it’s the best of its kind. That’s the standard. That’s Beginyan’s World.”
